Our Straiton practice is a ten-year-old Vets for Pets location, ideally situated at the foot of the Pentland Hills in Edinburgh. The practice is independently run by Hans and Kaidian, supported by a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding service in the community. This fosters a work ethos of pride and teamwork.
You will join an experienced clinical team performing routine surgeries, including orthopaedics and dentals. Our vets are highly experienced and offer a range of specialist treatments. Kaidian and Hans are passionate about colleague development, strongly encouraging CPD and Certificates. One of our vets holds a certificate in diagnostic imaging. We also see exotics, from rabbits to geckos, offering opportunities to explore and develop your skills further.

* DR X-ray system
* Propet 70 ultrasound
* In-house Idexx Lasercyte, microscope
* Blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, capnography, multi-parameter monitors
* Dental machine
* Dental X-ray
The role:
The practice hours are 8:30 am - 7 pm Monday to Friday, and 8:30 am - 6 pm on Saturdays. Saturdays are worked as 1 in 3 with time off in lieu the following week. We are closed on Sundays. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
You should be an experienced vet confident in all routine practice work, capable of leading a team and ensuring high standards of care for all patients and clients.
This role includes mentoring junior staff, including new graduates.
Our remuneration package includes a competitive salary up to £70,000 (DOE, FTE), paid RCVS and BVA memberships, CPD allowance, and shopping discounts.
