Overview
Project Manager (Heavy Civils Infrastructure) – Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk. Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk (on-site 5 days a week).
Contract: Permanent, full-time. Salary: Competitive depending on experience, plus benefits.

Role
The Project Manager reports to a Senior Project Manager and is responsible for directing the delivery of a contract or work package across its full life cycle. You will ensure the delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities in line with the overall project schedule and within safety, quality, time and cost parameters.
Experience of working on Civil Engineering Projects as a PC or Client, with experience of heavy civils, enabling earthworks, main civil works, and tunneling.
Key Responsibilities
* Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work, including interfaces with other programme elements.
* Ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) related to the scope of work is delivered.
* Lead and manage on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones.
* Implement best practices in project management to optimize efficiency and quality.
* Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
* Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project progression.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects (value approx. £20 million+).
* Experience in managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors on large, complex construction projects in regulated environments (NEC or FIDIC contracts).
* Significant experience in programme development and resource management.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience with NEC contracts and multiprogram construction backgrounds.
* Detailed understanding of PWR design and operations (if applicable).
* Ability to deliver contract scope within fast-paced and changing environments.
* Experience working in a heavily regulated environment.
It would be beneficial to have a qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Essential Qualifications
* Degree or chartered status in engineering or construction, physics, or related field.
* Good knowledge of CDM regulations.
* Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM). Primavera P6.
* Valid CSCS & SMSTS cards.
