About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Principal Engineer to lead and innovate within our high-performing Highway Maintenance and Drainage Team. This involves being the key technical lead on the Councils Street Lighting and Electrical Asset Stock. The Team provides a blend of operational and strategic responsibilities, offering the opportunity to be a prominent ambassador for Bath & North East Somerset at local, regional, and national levels. What We Are Looking For : Experience : Substantial experience in leading and managing a Highways and Technical function within the public sector as well as wider management ability. Knowledge : Strong understanding of the national policy context and regulatory environment. Skills : Excellent resource management, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability.
