We are looking for a People Advisor to join our team in Chesterfield on a 12 month contract.
As a People Advisor, you will partner with the HR Manager and operate as a true generalist, managing the day to day running of the HR department at the site.

Role details:
Salary: £39,500
Hours: 37.5 hours
Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Location: Chesterfield, S43 3FG
What you’ll do:
Your key accountabilities will include:
10. Ensuring the operational success and development of the HR department, working closely alongside senior site management
11. Heavy involvement in matters of employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance issues
12. Absence management
13. Delivery of induction training for new starters, consistently updating welcome pack information
14. Ensuring all elements of HR administration are carried out - e.g. starters, leavers, referencing, security and compliance checks, etc.
15. Assist with all aspects of recruitment and selection on site
Who you are:
Your skills and experience will include:
16. Experience within a similar HR Advisory/Officer position
17. Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards
18. Previous experience within the FMCG, logistics or supply chain sector would be highly desirable, as would exposure to a unionised environment
19. Excellent relationship building skills
20. Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
