Owen Daniels are currently working with a well-established and growing fire and life safety contractor who is looking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician (Fire) to join their design team based in Wolverhampton .
This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician with proven experience in fire alarm systems to work on a variety of commercial and residential projects, supporting design, installation, and compliance requirements.
The Role
As a CAD Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Producing detailed 2D CAD drawings for fire alarm systems
* Designing layouts in line with BS 5839 and relevant fire safety standards
* Liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate designs
* Updating and amending drawings throughout the project lifecycle
* Supporting technical documentation and as-built drawings
Requirements
* Proven experience as a CAD Technician within the fire alarm/fire protection sector
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
* Good understanding of fire alarm system design and regulations (BS 5839)
* Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
* Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
