Managing Director - UKGlobal Chester part of UKGlobal Broking Group Ltd, part of Howden
Overview
* To administer and service existing commercial including some Corporate clients, which includes but is not limited to producing and issuing renewal documentation, thoroughly checking documents, preparing presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters and processing amendments.
* To provide administrative support to Account Executives for the retention, maintenance and growth of their client accounts and to assist them in meeting monthly and annual targets.
* To support, where required, the Account Executives requirement to cross-sell insurance and approved non-insurance products according to the demands and needs of the existing clients and, where required, to assist them in the securing of new commercial business from client referrals or leads generated by the Company.
* To maintain thorough and accurate computer records of all events.
* Demonstrate technical competence on mainstream commercial insurance classes.
* Foster good working relationships with all insurers.
* Ensure standards of service to customers are in accordance with the standards laid down by the department and UKGlobal Risk Solutions in general, along with FSA regulatory rules and guidelines, particularly recognising the obligation to Treat Customers Fairly (TCF).
* In conjunction with directors, managers, team leaders and other supervisory staff, build a team philosophy of trust, honesty and openness within the organization.

* Carry out any task or duty reasonably requested by your line manager.
Key Skills and Experience Required
* Minimum 2 Years’ Experience working on all major classes of Commercial Insurance
* Acturis systems knowledge preferred
* Excellent at building rapport and developing relationships
* Energy, enthusiasm and drive
* Ability to learn quickly and develop initiative
* Good written communication skills and the ability to deliver information in a clear, concise and informative way.
* Good inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within and outside the organization.
* The ability to have a flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of the job whilst at the same time achieving a good life-work balance.
* Good organizational and administrative skills, with an ability to prioritize.
