Responsible for the regional management of the payment system template development and population process as it relates to clinical trial payments. The regional lead will assist with training of staff, facilitating clear and concise communications, and assist with the resolution of contracting, payment, and study related issues pertaining to the use of the payment system. In addition, the regional lead will provide project management and oversight to internal and external stakeholders as required and provide cross functional support to ensure proper study setup and payment execution in the payment system. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Attend weekly support meetings with Data Management, Pricing, Payments, Integrated Data - Services, Business Support Team, and other business partners as needed to ensure proper study setup and cross functional alignment for integrated payments. - Facilitate the collection of data to provide metrics on a designated basis to management. 4 - Work proactively to improve processes and establish refinements that reduce cycle time, create savings, and improve efficiency. - Provide specialised support to CCS and study team colleagues with complex payment system issue resolution and/or guidance, as needed. - Act as regional lead point of contact for payment system issues related to payments. - Assist with UAT for new payment system enhancements. - Collect fully executed agreements for all sites participating in each country and populate site specific payment system visit templates, as applicable. - Track and maintain status of issues, study alignments, and site-specific fully executed agreements in designated tracking system, as applicable. - Attend ad hoc meetings with CCS members and business partners to review and confirm current issues, status of ongoing issues, possible resolutions, and ongoing efforts required for issue resolution. - Serve as a key liaison with management on staff performance and development. Facilitate clear and consistent communications between management and other team members. Identify and implement process improvements. Drive accountability and results. - Onboard and train new staff and meet regularly with team members to ensure studies are properly supported and identify issues and potential solutions. Assist in resolution of study/site related concerns. Mentor and guide teams on processes and procedures. - May include people management responsibility, including performance and development. 1 Exemplary customer focus with vision to drive solutions EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: - Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field is preferred. - 5 years’ experience and/or equivalent competencies in pharmaceutical/clinical research industry. - Must have a working knowledge of the clinical development process with at least 3 years of payments/pricing/budgeting/contracting related experience. - Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) ▪ Familiarity with healthcare compliance and other relevant guidance (HIPAA, FCPA, Safe Harbor, etc.) - Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams and various levels of the organization. ▪ Strong analytical and problem resolution skills - Working knowledge of PCs (MS Office suite at a minimum) and database management ▪ - Must demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work independently.
