Proposals Engineer
We're actively recruiting for a Proposals Engineer to join a rapidly growing water framework on Southern Water. This role will cover a remit across Kent, Sussex, Hampshire. The schemes are Capital Delivery projects (non-infrastructure) across both clean water and wastewater treatment works.
Location: Hybrid working available, with flexible travel to a project or office site as required.
Hours: Flexible hours to suit project requirements. Please enquire upon application for the role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Proposals Engineer, you'll be working within the Southern Water framework working closely with other members of our framework delivery team and the Client, to deliver value for money solutions for the mechanical and electrical elements of work in line with framework requirements..
What will the day to day in the role look like?
Your day to day will include:
* Input into all aspects of the pre-construction phase of projects, including early contractor involvement
* Carry out pre-work prior to tenders arriving
* Preparing multi-discipline tender pricing
* Ability to produce differing levels of pricing, from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums or targets.
* Read and understand client specifications and drawings

This role of Proposals Engineer is great for you if:
* A proven track record of successfully delivering tenders/pricing of varying size/complexity in the water industry.
* Ability to manage a portfolio of projects in a framework environment.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Experience of the pre-construction phase of projects to quickly identify risks and opportunities
* Able to work within integrated multi-sector teams to deliver multi-discipline tenders
