Overview
We have a unique opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced team on a 12 month fixed term contract. As a Veterinary Surgeon at Bridge Vets your day-to-day duties will be a mix of consultations and surgery, and you will receive fantastic support from an experienced team including certificate holders. We actively encourage our team to advance their abilities and careers and are willing to offer support if you want to work towards a certificate.
Rota and Work Pattern
Rota pattern to suit your lifestyle – 4-day week. The full-time position is 36 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. There are 1:7 Saturday mornings 8:30am – 12pm with no OOH. We would also welcome part time applicants.
About Blackwood Clinic
Established for over 40 years, we are an ISFM Silver cat friendly clinic, RCVS PSS GP practice and a nurse training centre. Two branches in South Wales with easy access to Cardiff, Bristol, Newport and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Blackwood has a separate cat waiting area and cat kennels, 4 consultation rooms, 2 operating theatres, a lab, x-ray room, and isolation ward.

Team and Support
Our experienced, supportive team includes Vets (one working towards an ophthalmology certificate), 6 RVNs, and a Clinical Directors group. Our Clinical Directors are available to offer support; we encourage case discussion and have social events.

The role is suitable for a new graduate or a more experienced veterinary surgeon who will be given the opportunity to further their career through a wide range of clinical and surgical cases. We encourage staff to advance their abilities and work towards a certificate.

Salary
Salary up to £70,000/year DOE
