A leading multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its London team. This Building Surveyor role offers exposure across public and private sector projects and the opportunity to apply Building Surveying expertise alongside innovative surveying technology. The Building Surveyor will work from a London office with flexibility and autonomy, delivering Building Surveying services across varied asset types.

The Role
As the Building Surveyor, you will deliver a full range of professional and project-related Building Surveying services from inception to completion. This role may also combine traditional Building Surveying with Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) surveying, using drone technology across property, land, rail and renewables sectors.
The role will include:
Delivering projects, commissions and professional Building Surveying instructions from inception through to completion
Producing specifications, undertaking contract administration and supporting project delivery teams
Carrying out building surveys, dilapidations, clerk of works and defect inspections
Managing communication across projects to ensure accurate, timely delivery and effective financial control
Preparing clear reports and technical documentation for clients and internal teams
Representing the consultancy in meetings, negotiations and client correspondence
The Building Surveyor?
You will be a motivated and commercially aware Building Surveyor with experience delivering surveying and project work within the UK market.
The Building Surveyor must have:
A BSc in Building Surveying or an equivalent property-related discipline
MRICS status or working towards chartership (beneficial)
Experience delivering surveys, project management, repairs and maintenance or clerk of works duties
Ability to manage client relationships across public and private sector instructions
Experience within higher education, local government or healthcare sectors (beneficial)
An organised, proactive and professional approach to work
