Overview of Role
An informed and impartial perspective to help our clients reach their goals through the design and execution of strategic M&A and financing solutions in the infrastructure space.
We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized corporations, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, and governments. We design and execute strategic M&A and financing solutions for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges they face.
Our deep understanding of financial markets, the high volume of transactions we advise on, and our unrivalled network of industry and financing specialists in 40 countries, provide clients with a comprehensive perspective to achieve their strategic goals. Our distinct perspective allows us to achieve outstanding results for our clients and act as their most trusted advisers over the long term.
Responsibilities
1. Researching relevant industries to support the wider team’s marketing initiatives, optimising various sources of information
2. Contribute content to pitch books by conducting ad-hoc analysis;
3. Update industry databases and credentials
4. Develop and maintain standard or bespoke financial models with support from colleagues
5. Use a range of valuation techniques to support client advice including discounted cash flows, trading comps analysis, and transaction comps analysis
6. Draft strategic review and transaction documentation (i.e. teasers, Information Memorandums, and strategic review reports for both M&A and financing advisory mandates)
7. Support the team in coordinating the transaction process both internally and with other adviser
Education and Qualifications
8. A level or equivalent: ABB or above
9. Degree or equivalent: 2:1 or above
10. ACA (or equivalent) qualified: first time passes (distinct advantage, not essential)
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
11. Minimum 2-year experience in the infrastructure or energy & power sector
12. Previous experience gained in a similar role in another financial services organization
13. Experience to develop financial models and valuations with an understanding of financial statements analysis
14. Previous exposure to infrastructure-like financing products and capital structures
15. Exposure to fundamental financial principles and experience of applying these
16. Effective relationship building skills with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
17. Ability to communicate clearly as well as persuade and influence others
18. Experience of overcoming setbacks in order to deliver results
19. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
20. Aptitude for ongoing personal and professional development
