We're seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee an upcoming earthworks and groundworks project located near Birmingham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You'll coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and maintain clear communication with the project team.
Key Responsibilities for this Freelance Site Manager:
- Oversee earthworks operations including cut/fill, muck shifting, and ground preparation
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and plant on site
- Ensure compliance with H&S standards and site procedures
- Monitor quality and progress, reporting to the Project Manager
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and the wider project team
- Maintain accurate site records and daily diaries
Requirements for this Freelance Site Manager:
- Proven experience managing earthworks or groundworks projects
- SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
