Job Title: Private Client Solicitor

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (36.25 hours per week, 8:4517:00)
About the Role:
A well-established Private Client team is seeking a proactive and experienced Private Client Solicitor (or Legal Executive with minimum 2 years PQE) to manage their own caseload and deliver an outstanding client experience. This is a hands-on role where the Private Client Solicitor will handle Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and estate administration.
You will run files independently from initial client instructions to post-completion matters, while maintaining compliance with professional and internal standards. The Private Client Solicitor will also provide support to colleagues during peak periods, assist with departmental efficiency, and contribute to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage your own caseload as a Private Client Solicitor, including Wills, Probate, Trusts, LPAs, and IHT matters.
* Draft, review, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
* Provide clear, accurate, and client-focused legal advice.
* Liaise with colleagues, agents, and third parties efficiently and professionally.
* Maintain accurate billing, WIP, and time recording; chase aged invoices.
* Support colleagues with overflow work and ensure all files are compliant, accurate, and organised.
* Uphold the firms standards and represent the team professionally at all times.
About You:
* Qualified solicitor or CILEx with minimum 2 years PQE in Private Client work.
* Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts, LPAs, and IHT.
* Excellent organisational, client care, and communication skills.
* Professional, proactive, and confident working independently in a busy office.
