Overview
This is an opportunity for a consultant to join the GI Endoscopy team at Mid and South Essex NHS Trust to support our expanding workforce and contribute to the development of our large Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC).
Responsibilities
* Specialise in all aspects of luminal GI endoscopy including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and EMR.
* Perform independent endoscopy lists.
* Train other endoscopists.
* Support clinical governance duties within endoscopy including vetting and triage of referrals, clinical audit and other duties in line with the MSE endoscopy strategy.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and undertake teaching duties of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff and other professional groups (such as nursing and pharmacy).
* Weekend and cross‑site working within Mid and South Essex as per job plan discussions.
Qualifications
An interest in Bowel Cancer Screening would be advantageous.
