We currently have a fantastic opportunity for anElectricalEngineer to work for a leading engineering manufacturer in Southampton.
Introduction
Theprimary duties of this role will be todesign, develop, and lifecycle support of the sites electrical and instrumentation systems. Acting asthe technical authority for all electrical and control elements across new product development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead electrical and instrumentation design for product systems, including sensor interfaces, signal conditioning, PLC/embedded control, and system integration.
2. Produce schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and documentation using tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SkyCAD.
3. Specify materials, components, and instrumentation appropriate for harsh and safety-critical environments.
4. Support sales and applications engineering by contributing to system concepts, technical proposals, and layout drawings.
5. Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), customer witness tests, and on-site commissioning.
6. Deliver accurate as-built documentation, commissioning reports, and change records.
