The Business support team is looking for a qualified and highly motivated individual to join the team. The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced accountant with a pro-active and confident outlook and a proven ability to develop strong working relationships within an organisation.
The Senior Management Accountant is a key interface between the Finance and other University departments and is responsible for providing a business partnering service to non-Finance departments ensuring these departments receive an effective and efficient service in terms of the generation, distribution and understanding of financial-related management information. This role will play a key role in the launch of our new School of Medicine in September 2026.
Whilst reporting to the Financial Controller, for whom the Senior Management Accountant will act as a deputy, the postholder will have a high degree of autonomy, actively contributing to financial and strategic thinking. The Senior Management Accountant is expected to develop strong working relationships with Heads of Faculties / Services and their staff with delegated financial responsibility, providing advice to Faculties / Services on their overall financial strategy and responsibilities and on the appropriate tools for effective resource management.
