With a growing presence in the UK market, Dusk is expanding its operations and seeking a dynamic individual to lead its warehousing functions in Doncaster.
Job Description
* Operational Management: Oversee daily warehousing activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and dispatch.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to optimise warehouse operations, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all warehousing activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
* Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and implement effective stock control measures.
* Budget Management: Develop and manage the warehousing budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, and distribution teams to align warehousing activities with business objectives.
* Technology Integration: Leverage warehouse management systems and other technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Warehousing should have:
* A degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a senior warehousing or logistics role, preferably within the online retail sector.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent understanding of warehousing and distribution processes.
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems and software.
* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
