Wood is currently recruiting a Senior Construction & Commissioning Manager (CCM) to provide strategic and proactive leadership and management for the Construction and commissioning teams across a portfolio of projects for a key client.
The CCM will join our Systems Integration team within our Digital Consulting business.
The role can be based at any of the following UK offices; Aberdeen, Staines, Stockton or Glasgow on a hybrid basis, with the expectation of regular travel to sites and offices across the UK.
Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role
This Construction & Commissioning Manager will drive performance and delivery excellence through the strategic management of the Construction and Commissioning function across a framework of brownfield EPCm projects delivering an upgrade of automation controls and cyber security systems.
As an experienced Construction & Commissioning Manager, you will support and assure delivery excellence across all Construction and Commissioning requirements and will lead by example, consistently displaying and enforcing the Company’s values and behaviours, role modelling commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour and creating an inclusive work environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for functional management and development of resources and governance of discipline practices and procedures. Provide leadership to Lead/Principal personnel and have functional oversight of the performance of all relevant construction and commissioning cross the framework. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in large Construction projects across constructability, construction execution, CDM, development of construction strategies, oversight and input to planning and delivery is required.

Expected:
9. Typically, minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
10. Experience in dealing with CDM Regulations
11. Previous experience in managing a team of construction and commissioning personnel
12. Appropriate level of field construction experience
13. Exposure to working within a technical environment
14. Experience of people management in a construction context
15. Broad understanding of the business drivers for relevant industry sector clients
16. Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels of the business internal and external
17. Leads on recruitment and selection and sets tone for culture within team: significantly impacts on performance, engagement, productivity and retention of construction and commissioning resources
