We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician to ensure the seamless operation of production and packaging equipment at our Hertfordshire facility. What You’ll Do Perform maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical equipment and controls associated with production processing and packaging machinery. Ensure equipment performs optimally, meets production goals, and maintains GMP compliance. Collaborate on projects with various departments, providing technical support and expertise. Manage equipment failure reports through CMMS systems such as Maximo and implement corrective and preventative actions. Handle PLC and computer-based system backups and software version control in alignment with company standards. Required Skills Strong fault-finding skills with experience in electrical maintenance. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including P&IDs and loop diagrams. Familiarity with PLC and computer-based systems. Competence in modifying parameters of configurable devices like inverters and controllers. Excellent documentation skills, with clear, concise reporting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Computer literacy aligned with technical requirements. Nice To Have Skills Knowledge of industrial electrical installation practices. Experience with modifications to configurable devices. Additional skills in software management and system updates. Preferred Education And Experience A technical apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience. City & Guilds Level 3 / BTEC Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / ONC/HNC/HND or comparable technical qualification. Proven relevant experience within manufacturing or industrial settings. Other Requirements Ability to work on-site at our Hertfordshire facility. Flexibility to work alternating shifts from 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.
