We have an exciting opportunity for individuals who are caring and compassionate and enjoy being part of an established hard-working team, to join us on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) in a Health Care Assistant role.
Role Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Nurse in administering direct patient care.
Communicate clearly with patients, carers, relatives, and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
Discuss patient comfort and safety with patients and record communications on Wirral Millennium.
Prioritise own workload effectively.
Inform qualified staff of changes in patients’ condition or observations.
Escort and chaperone patients as appropriate.
Communicate with patients and carers, considering individual needs.
Undertake clerical duties such as filing.
Order supplies within agreed stock levels and ensure proper storage.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and availability.
Assist in the safe handling of patients’ valuables and property.
Adhere to Wirral Hospital’s objectives, policies, protocols, and guidelines.
