Main duties of the job
* Support the Data Quality Team in ensuring data held across the Trust contains accurate and reliable information.
* Contribute to providing an efficient and high-quality service for ensuring accurate source data, a major element of the information governance agenda.
* Support the Data Improvement Manager in raising awareness across the Trust about the importance of timely and accurate data.

Job responsibilities
* Meet the data needs of clinicians, hospital managers, commissioners, and the Trust Board.
* Monitor and promote data quality, taking steps to improve areas of concern as highlighted by monitoring agencies.
* Develop detailed Data Quality guidance documents for trust-wide dissemination, including policies, procedures, and strategies.
* Ensure patient data within the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) is accurate and complete to support clinical, business, statutory, and income processes.
* Improve local systems and procedures around data collection, audit, and analysis to meet team needs.
* Support the Data Quality Improvement Manager and stand in as required.

Person Specification
Experience and Knowledge
* Minimum of 2 years office experience.
* Awareness of current NHS issues.
* Experience working with staff at all levels.
* Proven success in meeting objectives and deadlines.
* Experience with PAS/EPR systems (Lorenzo/Cerner).
* Experience in Data Quality activities (validation, audit). NHS experience preferred.
* Understanding of the 18-week referral to treatment target.
Qualifications and Training
* GCSEs in Maths and English.
* Evidence of ongoing personal development.
* Willingness to undertake further training.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information.
* Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Motivate and persuade others outside your team.
* Use initiative and analyze data effectively.
* Identify and investigate data inconsistencies promptly.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.
