HGV Class 2 Driver Location: South Kirkby, WF9 3FD Salary: £35,242.82 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday, 5.30am - 3.15pm, 45 hours per week We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team. This role involves more than just driving; it includes attending client sites, collecting confidential paper documents, and ensuring their secure transport and destruction. Duties & Responsibilities: Check the vehicle at the start of the shift, completing the defect sheet and reporting any defects Drive vehicles you are licensed to drive and comply with all Driver Regulations, including hours Use tachographs correctly at all times Ensure all appropriate and required equipment to complete your daily duties is loaded onto the vehicle before leaving the depot Review and understand all job sheets before leaving the depot Use the PDA correctly to record daily collection activities and customer information Complete all jobs on time and correctly, either solo or with a driver’s assistant Ensure all paperwork is completed for each job, with items collected recorded and signed for by the client, with a copy handed in at the end of the shift Ensure the material is safe and secure at all times About you: Full UK Class 2 driving licence Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to apply the principles of customer care Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times Capable of handling tasks involving lifting and transporting materials Some of our benefits include: Annual Leave – 23 days bank holidays Life Assurance – 2x basic annual salary Bereavement Counselling – Support during difficult times Free Onsite Parking Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – Confidential counselling via Health Assured Eye Care Support – Free eye tests and up to £70 towards glasses for DSE users and drivers (includes retinal photography for drivers over 40) Restore Commitment to Disability Confidence We assess candidates based on their experience and suitability for the role, as outlined in their CV and application.
