Science Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Gateshead
Are you a passionate and dedicated science teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive secondary school? We are seeking a Science Teacher to complete a maternity cover position at a well‑established school in the Gateshead area. The role will begin as soon as possible after the Easter holidays and continue for 1 year.
The Role
* Teaching science to KS3 and KS4 students
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils
* Assessing and tracking student progress
* Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the maths curriculum
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or relevant qualification
* Experience teaching science at secondary level
* Strong classroom management skills
* Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
Please note, this is a main pay scale role and the pay range of £162.31–£223.62 is linked to your current teacher pay scale.
