Hygiene Supervisor (Night Shift)
Salary of £34,500 per annum,
plus 16% night shift enhancement (of hours worked between 8pm-8am)
Full-time 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

About The Role
The Nightshift Hygiene Supervisor will oversee and support a team of hygiene operatives while working closely with other departments, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and in line with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. This is a hands-on role, and you'll be expected to work alongside the team while providing guidance and leadership.
While the role operates from Monday to Friday Night Shift. Flexibility will be required to support the business, for example to support key projects or overtime during peak periods.
What will the role involve?
* Supervise the nightshift hygiene team, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure cleaning schedules are completed effectively.
* Carry out regular inspections of all areas to confirm compliance with hygiene expectations and highlight any opportunities for improvement.
* Deliver training, coaching, and ongoing support to hygiene staff to ensure best practice is consistently followed.
* Review and update Cleaning Instruction Cards as needed to maintain high operational standards.
* Work closely with management to plan cleaning schedules that support production requirements.
* Keep accurate records of cleaning activities, audits, and compliance checks, and provide clear updates to management.
* Complete staff-related administrative tasks when required, such as return‑to‑work meetings.
* Promote a strong hygiene and safety culture across the team.
Knowledge & Experience:
Required
* Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within food production hygiene or cleaning.
* Strong understanding of hygiene processes, food safety standards, and health and safety legislation.
* Confident leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate, and develop a team.
* Excellent organisational abilities and strong prioritisation skills.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to work well with staff and management at all levels.
* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
