Care Support Worker
Location: East RenfrewshireContract: Full-time and Part-time available

Reed are recruiting on behalf of our client for compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join their care team. This is a rewarding front-line role providing high-quality personal care and practical support to residents, tailored to individual needs and delivered within a person-centred, outcomes-focused approach.
Care Support Workers play a vital role in promoting dignity, respect and wellbeing, while ensuring consistently high standards of care. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals, reporting to senior staff and management as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports residents’ emotional, cultural and social needs
* Provide physical assistance where required, in line with individual care plans
* Promote dignity, compassion and respect at all times
* Respond appropriately to residents’ changing needs
* Build positive and professional relationships with residents, families and visitors
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and quality of care
* Comply with current care legislation and professional standards set by the Care Inspectorate and SSSC
Requirements
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and transferable skills relevant to a caring role
* Compassionate, reliable and professional approach
* Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential
Working Patterns
* Full-time: 7.5-hour shifts on a 5-out-of-7-day rota
* Part-time: 7.5-hour shifts on a 2, 3 or 4-out-of-7-day rota
* Mixed shift pattern including:
o Early shift: 7.30am – 3.00pm
o Late shift: 1.30pm – 9.00pm
* Rota issued 4 weeks in advance
Qualifications & Training
* SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential
* Full training will be provided
* Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications is essential
* Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of appointment
