Due to significant growth, a global leading engineering group has a new vacancy for a UK QHSE Manager and has appointed Vectis Recruitment as its exclusive recruitment partner.
Joining at a time of investment and new plant projects, you will lead the management and oversight of UK operations to develop improved and robust Quality, Health, and Safety practices & policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation across the UK locations.
2. Develop and implement Health and Safety initiatives to improve safety and learning across the UK operations.
3. Manage, develop, and oversee the UK Quality Management Systems.
4. Establish and develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the UK business.
5. Manage, apply, and develop existing Health and Safety management systems, focusing on continuous improvement.
6. Oversee site-based advisors and auditors, including their training and development.
7. Develop training initiatives and schedules for site-based advisors.
8. Manage, oversee, and develop subcontractors and consultants in H&S management, aligned with project delivery requirements.
The Person:
1. Qualified in occupational Health and Safety to at least NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
2. A proactive approach to Health and Safety delivery with the ability to progress through scales.
3. Qualified as an internal auditor.
4. Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing safety initiatives, programs, and training.
5. Experience and working knowledge in an industrial sector.
6. Experience with CDM regulations is highly advantageous.
7. Proven experience in root cause analysis techniques, reporting, and implementing corrective actions.
8. A hands-on approach with a track record of fostering positive cultural change.
9. Ability to travel at short notice, including overnight stays when required.
