Role Title: Nursery Nurse

Location: Deeside

Contract Type: Permanent Full time

Salary: £ 25,978 - £26,095

We are looking for a special type of person who is great with children. If this is you, then we want to meet you as we have a great opportunity for a Nursery Nurse within our supportive team.

Using your communication skills, relevant experience and understanding of child development you will help to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Successful candidates will undergo a DBS check

Essential Requirements

1. Previous experience in a Child Care establishment

2. Level 3 in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development (Wales) or willing to work towards

3. Understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare issues

4. First Aid Certificate

5. Approachable, compassionate and flexible attitude

6. A commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

7. Fully bilingual in Welsh


Welsh language skills are essential for this position.

This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order and is classed as regulated activity. Disclosure will not automatically prevent employment; a risk assessment will be carried out however we may deem some convictions / cautions as unsuitable to work with children.

Depending on the position, successful candidates may also need to register with the Education Workforce Council.

Roles are normally advertised with a salary range. If you are offered a role at the college, relevant experience will be taken into consideration to determine your starting salary.
