The role
You will be working in a Senior CDP / Sous Chef capacity, supporting the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality gastro pub food to a consistently high standard.
Responsibilities include:
* Running kitchen sections confidently and independently
* Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
* Supervising junior chefs and kitchen staff
* Maintaining excellent food quality, consistency, and presentation
* Working efficiently during busy service periods
* Supporting stock control, ordering, prep, and service management
* Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards
What we’re looking for
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Senior CDP or Sous Chef in the UK
* Previous gastro pub or fresh‑food restaurant experience essential
* Strong leadership and section management skills
* Ability to perform well in a fast‑paced service environment
* Reliable, professional, and committed to ongoing work
* Looking for a long‑term opportunity
Certifications required
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
* Allergen Certificate
* Health & Safety Level 2
* COSHH Certificate
* Right to work in the UK
