Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, including experience with materials handling, stocking, and shipping & receiving however training will be given. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment. A solid understanding of warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage
* Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment
* Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring all materials are stored correctly
* Operate warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
* Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock
* Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
* Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy
* Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the warehouse
Requirements
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment
* Proficiency in using warehouse management systems
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift
* Experience in dangerous goods shipping would be beneficial but not mandatory
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
