Finishing Foreman
Willmott Dixon are recruiting for a Finishing Foreman to initially work on a project in Bridgend, and across the South Wales region thereafter.
Our aim is for you to be a part of our team to deliver projects close to home across multiple sectors mainly in leisure, education, blue light, residential and healthcare.
As a Finishing Foreman at Willmott Dixon, you will be part of our one team ethos that delivers quality projects on time whilst also having a positive impact on the local community.
Key Responsibilities
As a Finishing Foreman at Willmott Dixon the key responsibilities will include:
1. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the successful candidate will manage the delivery of projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
2. Ensure all finishing work, such as painting, decoration and carpentry on the project meets high-quality standards and client expectations.
3. Organise, review and manage quality assurance and Health & Safety on a daily basis.
4. Establish standards of quality on-site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements.
5. Adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme and manage community relations. Ensure appropriate site image is maintained to encourage repeat business.
6. Understand the client priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations.
7. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
8. Manage project handover and ensure defect/snag free completion.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
9. Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects as part of a wider team.
10. The ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings, and technical specifications.
11. Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain.
12. Ideally have a trade background in either Painting, Decorating or Carpentry.
13. Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or equivalent
14. Appropriate CSCS card
15. SMSTS certificate
16. First Aid at Work certificate
