Role Overview
The Production Coordinator is a pivotal role within NEP UK, ensuring seamless delivery of outside broadcasting (OB) events for a wide range of high-profile clients. This position requires a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for liaising with crew, booking accreditation, submitting accreditation and raising POs.
This is expected to be a 9‑month fixed‑term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
* Oversee the scheduling, booking, and coordination of crew, travel, and equipment for OB events.
* Liaising with freelancers and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and swift resolution of issues.
* Collaborate with Technical Project Managers, Heads of Department, and the Commercial Director to deliver projects.
* Raising POs for freelancers and other external suppliers.
* Coordinate planning sheets, rig schedules, and accreditation details for crew and stakeholders.
Administration and Compliance
* Process purchase orders and invoices using Proactis and ensure timely payments.
* Ensure all planning and reporting documents are up‑to‑date and easily accessible.
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational processes and reduce costs.
* Utilise industry expertise to advise clients and internal teams on best practices for successful production delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a similar role within the broadcast or live events industry.
* Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with scheduling systems like ScheduAll.
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge of OB truck operations and broadcast workflows.
* A full, clean UK driving license.
Working Arrangements
Full‑time: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm).
Fixed‑term contract: Expected 9 months (maternity cover).
