Technical Manager - Dartford - Freelance - Equivalent to £95,000 per annum Are you an experienced Technical Manager looking for a rewarding freelance role with a respected main contractor? This is an excellent opportunity to take a senior technical lead position, overseeing complex projects during the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) stage and guiding a capable team through key design and delivery milestones. The Technical Manager Role As Technical Manager, you’ll take ownership of the technical coordination and pre-construction design process across a variety of major building projects. You’ll work closely with the pre-construction team, design managers, and external consultants to ensure that technical information, design development, and buildability considerations are fully integrated at every stage. You’ll be managing a team of four, providing leadership, mentoring, and technical direction — ensuring that project information flows efficiently from early-stage design through to delivery. This is a freelance role based in Dartford, offering long-term stability and a strong day rate equivalent to around £90,000 per annum. The Technical Manager Proven experience as a Technical Manager, or Senior Technical Lead within a main contracting environment. Strong background in pre-construction and technical coordination, ideally with exposure to the PCSA stage. Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a small technical team (circa four people). Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges early. Based within commuting distance of Dartford and available for a freelance engagement.
