We are delighted to be supporting a widely recognised, reputable and family-owned processing and manufacturing company as they look for a Hygiene Manager to join the team. You will manage and ensure efficient cleaning and disinfection of factory to required hygiene standards as laid down by the Technical Manager and related legislation.
As Hygiene Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
Effectively managing all operations within the specified sections to ensure KPI’s targets and business objectives are met.
Ensuring cleaning operations are conducted in compliance with customer specifications, whilst meeting Health and Safety, quality, productivity and cost targets
Ensuring adherence to relative legislation throughout the production process
Establishing and ensuring daily, weekly and periodical cleaning schedules are maintained and regularly reviewed
Liaising with chemical suppliers to ensure quality of service against Service Level Agreement and chemical requirements
Ensuring strip downs, deep cleans and reassembly of all equipment are carried out on a daily basis as defined in the cleaning schedules
Implementing new initiatives and projects with the support of Senior Management
Supervising and auditing the quality of clean and ensuring non-conformances are dealt in a timely manner to ensure product integrity is not compromised
Implementing and reviewing continuous improvement initiatives
Controlling your resources, labour and chemical usage
Ensuring accurate records are completed and implemented to provide effective administration for the purpose of external audits and due diligence
Ensuring compliance with COSHH
Ensuring consistency in the application of the companies disciplinary, grievance and absence procedures
Developing and reviewing good working practices, SOP’s and SWP’s in accordance to company policies
Ensuring compliance with the companies Equal Opportunity Policy, Recruitment and Development and the Management of Employees
Coaching and developing staff to improve individual and section performance to deliver FINISH hygiene standards
We’re looking for a Hygiene Manager with:
3 years minimum management experience in a Hygiene role within a FCMG environment
A COSHH qualification
Experience in staff training and development
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene systems
Trainer experience
Experience in the application of disciplinary, grievance and absence procedures
The ability to carry out staff appraisals and performance reviews
