Rate of Pay: £44.00- £57.24 per hour
Summary:
The Team Manager (Social Care Qualified) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for leading and managing a social work team to deliver high-quality, consistent, and effective practice. The primary focus is to ensure the best possible outcomes for children, young people, and their families through diligent casework management and robust professional standards. You will provide reflective supervision, nurture professional development, and ensure that the "voice of the child" remains central to all interventions and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team to deliver consistent social work practice in line with the DfE knowledge and skills statements for practice supervisors.
* Ensure all contacts and referrals are signposted or allocated efficiently to enable professional decision-making within agreed standards.
* Undertake effective reflective supervision, holding practitioners to account for poor performance while providing necessary guidance and support.
* Manage team budgets efficiently, maximizing financial capacity and ensuring value for money in commissioned care packages.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Social Work (or Dip SW/CQSW).
Essentials:
* Proven experience in effectively managing employee performance issues in line with corporate policies.
* Significant experience in coaching and mentoring social care practitioners across all levels.
* Current registration with Social Work England (formerly HCPC) and evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation relating to children, young people, care leavers, and families.
