Candidate Requirements
* Understanding of beneficiaries' needs; empathy is essential.

* Financial qualification is beneficial but not required.
* Knowledge of charity finance practices is advantageous.

* Comfort with digital communication tools.
* Experience with finance committees or governance roles is valued.

Role Responsibilities
The Treasurer works closely with the Chair, trustees, and Administration Manager, overseeing financial matters, contributing to discussions, and ensuring effective governance. The role involves attending quarterly meetings at our premises in GU47 8HN and about six hours of work per month, including preparations and online communications.

Sandhurst Counselling Service, established in 1990, provides confidential support for individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, or hopelessness. As a Charitable Trust with an income of approximately £60,000 per annum, we are committed to delivering impactful mental health services and maintaining a sustainable, well-governed organization.
