Role Overview

As a System Support Engineer, you will help to innovate and develop technology for our Simulator Products based on leading‑edge technology to drive the next generation of Spirent Communications products in the Positioning Technology Line of Business. Specifically, you will be required to support the smooth operation, integration, and continuous improvement of our systems, builds, and engineering processes.

In this role, you will work closely with Project Technical Leads and the Manufacturing team to carry out practical, hands‑on tasks across manufacturing support, system configuration, product validation and RF investigations. You will generate and maintain key artefacts such as calibration files, licences, interconnect drawings, and build documentation, ensuring that product quality remains high and issues are caught early.


Qualifications – Education and Experience

* Honors degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrable experience from either internships, university projects, or early-career roles involving hardware, test equipment, RF concepts, or system integration.

* Strong problem‑solving skills with a willingness to learn and develop new technical competencies.

* Comfortable taking ownership of tasks, prioritizing effectively, and following work through to completion.


Technical Experience

* Understanding of basic RF principles (frequency, power levels, signal flow), or a strong desire to develop this knowledge.
* Experience with laboratory test equipment such as signal generators, analysers, oscilloscopes, or networking tools is beneficial.
* Interest in system‑level debugging across RF, thermal, digital, networking, or performance domains.

* Resourcefulness: Adapts well to new challenges and finds practical ways to overcome obstacles.
* Determination: Demonstrates persistence in tackling technical problems and driving tasks to completion.
