We have a temporary Weighbridge Operator role available at Newbold Quarry. This role is ideal for someone with excellent attention to detail, good customer service skills, and experience working in an industrial or logistics environment. The role is varied, hands-on, and critical to smooth site operations. Role: Weighbridge Operator Location: Newbold Quarry, DE13 8EG Rate: £12.60 per hour (Overtime paid at 1.5x - £18.90/hour) Contract length: Starting 23/06/2025 - ongoing with potential to become permanent Shift Patterns: 47.5 hours per week Shifts between 05:30-15:30 or 06:30-16:30 on a rotating weekly basis (flexible depending on holidays, training, and business requirements) 30-minute unpaid break Responsibilities: Welcome and direct all vehicle drivers on site, internal and external Accurately record weight data using a computerised weighbridge system Issue correct tickets for materials delivered or dispatched Identify and verify customer accounts, materials, hauliers, destinations, and order details Ensure compliance with PPE requirements Enforce credit control protocols when necessary Alert drivers to overweight vehicles Maintain accuracy and cleanliness of weighbridge equipment Handle inbound and outbound documentation accurately Provide site inductions and enforce site safety rules Answer phones professionally and support site admin tasks Work collaboratively to ensure safe and efficient operations Promote a strong safety culture including PPE use and incident reporting Essential requirements: Basic computer literacy and comfort using systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent customer service and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and adaptable Customer service experience Desirable requirements: Experience in a similar role or working environment Benefits: Advice and editing on your CV Supportive team throughout the placement Paid holiday Exclusive online discounts (restaurants, retail, and more) £300 referral bonus opportunity* Possibility for permanent employment Competitive rates of pay Does this role sound interesting?
