This role is central to ensuring Swindon Borough Council has access to the right talent at the right time. You will act as a trusted partner to hiring managers, delivering a seamless recruitment service while maintaining compliance, managing candidate pipelines, and supporting workforce planning across a range of roles.
What you will be doing
* Build strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their workforce needs and recruitment challenges
* Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates
* Advertise roles and utilise search techniques to attract high-quality candidates
* Review CVs and submit suitable candidates through internal systems and client portals
* Coordinate interviews, gather feedback and manage offer and placement processes
* Ensure all compliance and legal requirements are met before candidates start assignments
* Maintain regular contact with candidates and agency workers, ensuring strong engagement and retention
* Manage vacancies through CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy and reporting
* Collaborate with external agency supply chain partners where required
* Provide ongoing support and aftercare to both clients and candidates to ensure successful placements
What you will bring
* Experience working within a recruitment agency or managed service environment
* Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate sourcing methods
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Good knowledge of compliance and legislation within recruitment (e.g. AWR, IR35, H&S)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence and manage expectations
* Experience using recruitment CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
