Specification Manager – South Central (Southampton/Sailsbury/Bournemouth)

My client is looking for a driven and experienced Technical Specification Sales Manager to join their dynamic field sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing sales activities within assigned accounts and regions, driving growth, and meeting sales targets for their range of products. You will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager, with a dotted line to Market Segment Directors and Product Specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain a comprehensive customer database using the company's CRM system, Salesforce.
* Present and sell the company's products and services to both existing and potential clients.
* Respond to sales enquiries, new leads, and referrals promptly and professionally.
* Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with current and prospective clients.
* Manage account services and resolve any client concerns.
* Provide technical support to customers when needed.
* Monitor sales activities, report on performance, and deliver relevant management information.
* Achieve sales targets and maintain margins while working within sales budgets.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

* Relationship Management: Ability to effectively communicate technical product details to customers and identify opportunities for sales.
* Self-Discipline: Proven track record of success in a field-based, autonomous role. Experienced in securing new business and expanding existing accounts.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and CRM systems. Experience with Salesforce is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators:

* Meeting or exceeding agreed sales volume targets.
* Number of Points of Sale (POS) achieved and average sales per POS.
* Customer retention rates and activation of POS/customers.
* Margin growth through value-driven offerings to customers, installers, and end-users.
* Effective use of the CRM system, including updating and consulting the database regularly.
* Achieving key metrics, such as weekly customer and prospect visits, and conducting product trials.

Package:

Basic salary – Upto £60k

OTE - £80k

Company car, fuel card, 28 days inclusive of bank holidays, plus xmas closure,

2 x salary Life insurance, 5% ER Pension contribution (salary sacrifice), Employee Assistance Programme
