Role Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Underwriter to join our successful Regional Financial Lines team at Allianz. The role will be located in London, Maidstone, Chelmsford or Southampton, with a requirement to do 3 days a week on site/in office.
As part of our growth, we are seeking a talented, ambitious underwriting professional to help us build a ‘Best in Industry’ team. Responsibilities include risk pricing, new business development, claims data analysis, implementing bespoke schemes, broker queries, and renewal process management, all while fostering broker relationships and supporting our growth plans.
You will participate in the Global P&C Academy, enhancing your skills across underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management, with additional support such as a study package for actuarial qualifications and access to top training platforms like DataCamp, Databricks Academy, and LinkedIn Learning.
Salary Information
Circa £45,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of our comprehensive reward package.
About You
Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, building strong broker relationships, achieving financial targets, processing renewals and adjustments, and ensuring compliance.
Essential Skills
* Experience with Professional Indemnity (PI) and/or Directors and Officers (D&O) underwriting.
* Negotiation skills within authority limits.
* Proven ability to develop broker relationships.
* Team player with a positive attitude.
* Customer-focused with strong influencing skills.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently.
* Strong trading skills.
