Millfield School & Millfield Swimming are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Swim Coach to join our renowned swimming programme. As the Lead Swim Coach, you will play a crucial role in the coaching, programming and nurturing of swimmers throughout our structure, helping them achieve their full potential. Ability to coach supporting disciplines including water polo and athletic development is desirable.
Millfield is an independent boarding school with outstanding pastoral and co-curricular activities, set in the heart of Somerset. We cater for approximately 1300 pupils, all of whom are engaged in sport and physical activities. We have outstanding facilities and a vibrant multisport environment.
The successful candidate will have a minimum UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification, with UKCC Level 3 preferred, and experience of coaching swimmers to a minimum of national championship standard. Further experience as a Head Coach or relevant lead/management experience within another programme is desirable. They will have knowledge of the long-term development practices for students in line with the Aquatics GB Optimal Athlete Development Framework. NPLQ and NRASTC qualifications are desirable.
This is an all-year-round role working an average of 42 hours per week.
