Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Croydon, London Contract: Full-time / Part-time, Term-time only Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school based in Croydon. The ideal candidate will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access the curriculum, develop independence, and build confidence in their learning journey. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, and social/emotional challenges. Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored support plans. Assist in creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage pupil participation and independence both inside and outside the classroom. Help manage behaviour positively and effectively. Requirements: Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
