Site Support Officer

HS2, Britain's new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2's construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Current Opportunity: Site Support data analyst - Enabling Functions
Location : Based at Fort Dunlop - this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region. Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities. Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.
Role description :
* Review, standardise, and continuously improve P2P processes across Materials, Plant, Labour, Month-End, and Reporting.
* Act as P2P SME and escalation point, identifying risks and driving compliant, standardised ways of working with BBN and BBVJV stakeholders.
* Develop, maintain, and review process documentation and controls to ensure compliance and prevent disallowed costs.
* Lead or participate in weekly material reviews, including RFT failure analysis, root cause identification, solution delivery, and trend tracking.
* Oversee aged accruals, purchase order management, and invoice matching for Plant and Materials, resolving discrepancies through root cause analysis.
* Support delivery of an accurate and consistent month-end reconciliation process, ensuring high-quality ERP data entry and reporting (e.g. Oracle R12).
* Produce standardised and bespoke reports, Power BI dashboards, and KPIs to drive performance improvement and measurable savings.
* Support internal and external audits, maintaining strong audit trails and leading quarterly process and documentation reviews.
* Drive compliance, standardisation, continuous improvement, innovation, and system enhancements (e.g. Invoice Gateway upgrades).
* Act as SME for core systems (Oracle R12, TIPS, TSP, Power Apps, Power BI), monitoring data quality, productivity, and performance.
Essential Experience :
* Experience operating in a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Site Support environment covering Materials, Plant, Labour, Month-End, and Reporting.
* Strong experience producing financial and operational reporting, including KPIs, dashboards, and management information.
* Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle R12 or equivalent), ensuring data accuracy, reconciliation, and reporting integrity.
* Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends, deliver improvement recommendations, and flex across responsibilities (including Plant, Senior Site Support, or payroll) to support business continuity.
* Demonstrated experience supporting internal and external audits, maintaining audit trails, and acting as a key point of contact.
