Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we dont do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.
This role is in ourPlant & Fleet department,Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?
Youll oversee workshop performance by monitoring and driving improvements through key business metrics.
Youll boost workshop productivity and performance by fostering a supportive and efficient environment.
Youll lead the 1st Line team with guidance and encouragement to ensure high standards of conduct.
Wed expect you to supervise daily workshop activities, managing progress and supporting team development.
Youll coordinate and schedule third-party work bookings, building strong relationships with suppliers and dealers.
Youll uphold robust Health & Safety standards, ensuring a secure and compliant workshop environment.
Also, manage and raise Purchase Orders, delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions for M Group.
Youll focus on Vehicle Off Road (VOR) control by regularly reviewing processes across departments to maximise asset availability.
What youll bring
* Previous experience of working as a Senior Engineer or Workshop Controller role gained through working as a Service Engineer/Fitter on LCVs, HGVs or Plant & Equipment or in a similar position.
* Engineering qualification (likely to be gained in a Construction Plant environment, City & Guilds or NVQ preferred) achieved through a recognised formal training programme.
* Ability to analyse data and produce detailed counter measures to close performance gaps and provide high asset compliance.
* Keen to learn with an interest in development and progression
