Our Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking a Senior Data Protection Lawyer to drive compliance, shape policy, and influence business strategy across Addleshaw Goddard’s global operations.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead the Data Protection sub-team, managing and developing talent.
* Shape and implement the Firm’s data protection compliance strategy.
* Advise on complex data protection matters, including international data transfers and regulatory changes.
* Oversee data breach responses and data subject rights requests.
* Deliver training and guidance to teams across the Firm.
* Collaborate with stakeholders in IT, HR, Procurement, and more.
* Drive continuous improvement in risk management and compliance frameworks.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Qualified lawyer with significant data protection and compliance experience in a leading law firm or equivalent.
* Proven leadership and line management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Deep understanding of the regulatory environment for law firms.
* Resilient, solution-driven, and able to deliver clear advice across international boundaries.
* Commercial, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects under pressure.
