The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading agricultural manufacturing business. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing industrial machinery used in agricultural production, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Working with gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, and inverters, you will support production operations, troubleshoot faults, and contribute to continuous improvement within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, and inverters in agricultural manufacturing equipment.
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
Production Support:
* Provide technical support to production teams for smooth operation of machinery.
* Assist with machine setup and tool setting.
* Train staff on basic equipment maintenance.
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
Continuous Improvement:
* Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and equipment upgrades.
* Participate in root cause analysis to prevent recurring breakdowns.

The Candidate:
We seek a Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in agricultural or food production settings. Your CV should demonstrate:
* Hands-on experience with gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, and inverters in relevant environments.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis.
* Multi-skilled background (mechanical/electrical preferred).
* Commitment to health & safety compliance.
The Package:
* Salary: £19.20/hour + £1.00/hour shift allowance (~£42,000/year, paid weekly).
* Shift Pattern: Mon-Thu 15:30 – Midnight, Fri 12:00 – 20:30.
* Attendance Bonus: £600/year (criteria-based).
* Holiday: 30 days/year (excluding bank holidays).
* Pension: Nest matched at 3%.
