Warman O’Brien are delighted to partner with a leading GMP-Regulated Manufacturing Organisation to appoint a Site Director for one of its flagship GMP production facilities. This is a senior, site-based leadership role offering full operational ownership and the opportunity to shape the long-term strategic direction of a high-performing site.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide overall leadership for site operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPIs are met.
* Develop and execute the site’s operational strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
* Oversee end-to-end supply-chain activities, including production scheduling, inventory management, and on-time delivery.
* Champion GMP compliance and maintain inspection readiness with global regulators (FDA, EMA, MHRA, etc.).
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive capital projects and technology upgrades.
* Own site-level budgeting and financial performance, including variance analysis and corrective actions.
* Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
* Act as the key liaison between site operations, corporate functions, and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
* 10–15 years of experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing, with 5+ years in senior site leadership.
* Strong track record managing cross-functional operations in a matrixed environment.
* In-depth knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA, MHRA).
* Demonstrated experience with site P&L, capital projects, and operational strategy.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and modern manufacturing technologies.
* Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
