NXT Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of one of the leading Accountancy firms in Cumbria, seeking a Probate and Wills Adviser to join their growing Probate and Wills team.
The Role
To provide probate and estate completion services to clients professionally and supportively, while assisting the team in achieving their business goals and standards. The ideal candidate will offer a sensitive, professional service and seek ways to improve departmental processes.
Key Duties
* Handle all probate tasks, guide clients through the process, ensure estates are completed on time, meet deadlines, and keep executors informed.
* Meet clients, guide them through procedures, and gather required information/documents.
* Prepare and submit necessary probate & estate administration documents.
* Assist clients in setting up Trusts, gather information, and register Trusts when needed.
* Organise personal and financial information to advise on wills and estate planning.
* Draft, prepare, and register wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and other estate planning documents, including ancillary documents and correspondence.
Requirements and Skills
* Experience in estate administration, managing caseloads.
* Experience in estates exceeding inheritance tax thresholds and completing IHT400 returns.
* Experience in applying for grants of representation.
* Will Writing experience (not essential).
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
* High standards of work and confidentiality.
* Strong emotional intelligence to support clients during sensitive times.
