Sales Representative
Location: Dumbarton
Reports to: Commercial Manager
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our team in Dumbarton. In this office-based role, you will support the Commercial Manager and play a key part in delivering outstanding service to our customers—handling enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth order process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Commercial Manager across all aspects of the sales cycle, including preparing quotations, chasing tenders, negotiating sales, handling invoice queries, and managing customer complaints.
* Serve as the main point of contact for customers, fostering strong and professional relationships through clear, friendly, and effective communication.
* Respond to incoming enquiries via phone, email, and other channels with a professional and helpful approach.
* Prepare accurate quotations aligned with our sales strategy, generate leads, and convert them into orders to help meet ambitious sales targets.
* Work closely with internal teams—including operations, logistics, and technical departments—to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a sales and/or customer service role is essential.
* A background in construction is desirable, but not required.
* Strong multitasking abilities with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with learning new IT systems.
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and grow within the business.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* A full clean driving licence is required.
