A Major Tier 1 Supplier in the Automotive sector is looking for two Facilities Engineers to join the team at their impressive site in the Telford area.
You will be a flexible and versatile Engineer with a background in facilities maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast‑paced Tier 1 environment, you will demonstrate strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting systems.

Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain various facility systems, including lighting, compressors, cooling towers, fire alarms, plumbing, and ventilation.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment and systems are functioning correctly.
* Troubleshoot and repair any issues to minimize downtime and prevent disruptions to production.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to mitigate potential equipment failures.
* Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades or modifications.
* Oversee site security measures to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
* Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and repairs as needed.
* Stay updated on technological advancements in facilities management and implement innovative solutions where applicable.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Facilities Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical expertise and hands‑on experience in system maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Previous leadership experience managing a team (e.g., contractors).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills with a structured approach to resolving issues.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Familiarity with ISO 14001 standards.
* Certifications in relevant fields such as HVAC, electrical systems, or fire safety are an advantage.
